wow, has it been a fast couple of weeks. exams flew by in a blur, and the start of the semester has been pretty good. i've been so busy lately i've barely got time to think!
i'm still kicking around here every so often, seeing everybody's updates and such.
i'm still writing, still cracking away at the writer's block. i actually wrote something a while ago for a class that i'm going to translate, edit, and post at some point. march break is running away from me!
things finally seem to be winding down, but soon enough theyll be gearing up again, especially with The Curse of Allie Smith hitting the Dramafest stage at the end of april!
not too long ago i signed up for the drama club at my school and found out about some auditions for a play that they were putting together. the script was written by a couple of my classmates, and since i'd been in a few plays before, i thought i'd give it a try.
i went to the audition, screwed up my lines, was really nervous, tripped and fell, and then rushed out as soon as the class bell rang, dreading checking the cast list the next morning. little did i know, the list wouldnt be posted until lunchtime. i trudged my way through my morning classes, even the one where the director sat RIGHT BEHIND ME. when i finally saw the final cast list, i was absolutely shocked and flattered to see that my stumbling, nervousness and stuttering got me the LEAD!
The Curse of Allie Smith is a play about a girl who was cursed by Death when she was just a few days old. now anyone who is truly loved by her will most certainly die. this definitely poses a problem when she finds out the boy she's been crushing on has the same feeling for her...
i'm really looking forward to working on the play, and that's definitely why youll find me in my room with my nose buried in a script instead of the novel i'm supposed to be writing!
hope everyone has some good weather where you are; enjoy it while it lasts!

It's Aiden!
