The Sunday afternoon sun beat down on my head as I looked around yet again for my brother.
"Where is he?" I mumbled.
"Caroline, watch me!" Peter called from the ring.
I waved at him and smiled. "Pay attention!"
Peter had moved up a stage in his riding lessons. He was so excited, I almost thought he'd have trouble staying in the saddle.

Tunnel Vision
| This year I will blow out eighteen candles on my birthday cake. I am currently enrolled in the local public school. I have a part-time job, anytime friends, and a full-time family. Someday soon I want to go to college. I see the world through gray-blue eyes, I brush long, brown hair, I’m prone to the standard two to three pimples a month. I stand at five feet four inches, and though I’m small, I refuse to be told my weight. I am the definition of average. Time is the scariest, most beautiful thing in the world. I love pop rocks, molasses sandwiches, and cherry cola. I love photography. I can’t dance. (I do anyway) I'm a person with no boundaries, nothing to hide. I don't trust anyone. I’m profound and complex, But I’m an open book to everyone. I love philosophy, the deeper meaning, but I always look for the simplest answers. I’ll challenge you and make you think, if you give me the opportunity. Freckles are beautiful. So is individuality. Just because sunny days are pretty, that doesn’t mean rainy days aren’t too. I love to write, except for homework and copying notes in school. I believe in staying true to yourself, and living for the moment. I believe in destiny, that everything happens for a reason, and to be pure is to live with no regrets. But that’s not an excuse for where we end up. We determine the paths we take in life. I make mistakes often, fix them seldom. I believe in second chances. I’m a realist who takes reality checks a hundred times a day. I love to pretend and make believe. I have big dreams and ambitions, I know what I want and how to get it. But I over-use the phrase "What next?" Sometimes - check that, always - I want what I can't have. The lure of the forbidden. I believe in true love, But I don’t have any idea what that means. I believe people can change. I have too many favourite bands. Most people either love me, or hate me. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, And I basically know as much about myself as you do at this point. I am kelsea-reanne brannon, welcome to the other side of the looking glass. |
